The Team

Morris Dweck started as the Gabbai at Congregation Magen David of Manhattan back when we were on 16th Street. He started giving classes at our synagogue while he was still in Cardozo Law school, merging his background of American law into his teaching of Judaic studies. His passion is sharing with others an analytical and intellectual approach to Torah study, while adding elements of pop culture such as themes and idea from movies and TV shows.

Morris grew up in Brooklyn attending Kol Israel Synagogue and Flatbush High School. He studied Judaic studies at Yeshivah B'nei Torah in Far Rockaway. He is an advocate of Maimonides and stresses the importance of understanding peshat. Outside of the synagogue Morris works as an attorney in products liability litigation.
